She is the Mother

The Goddess Morrigan is usually seen as a goddess of death and war. Taking the souls of the dead to their afterlife. But what many don't know is that she is like the mother of an unruly child. She is demanding and wants her own way. But at the same point, she is loving. Why some see her as just the dark goddess there are many distinctions that show her light. And this is something I want to bring out to others.
She is a goddess of rivers and lakes. She watches over her children with a stern hand. From personal experience she will put an idea in your head and it will sit there till you're willing to  open yourself up to her ways. Prayer to her is a must when she claims you. She expects the best and nothing else is acceptable. One of the best books to see this is The Dark Goddess Books on Morrigan by Stephanie Woodfield.

This site allows you to connect with others who are called by the mother as well. Everyone is called to her for different reasons. For everyone who is called comes for different reasons.
The mother comes in many names some are Morrigan,Morrigu,Morrigna, Badb,Maeve or a few others you may know.
Personal altars to her are greatly appreciated. Here is mine.

As you can see the beautiful doll in the middle is a representation of the Morrigan made by a friend of mine. https://www.facebook.com/MagnoliaMoonCrafts
She doesn't just make the Morrigan dolls there are others as well and the are beautiful and made to your specifications. So check her out!

The feathers are a crow feather and a crane feather. The Crane feather is a Sand Hill Crane which also frequents the ancient isles.
The cow is another symbol of the goddess. As is the blood red whine in the corner.

The mother is love and she wants your love!
